Summary Description

As a Landscape Architect/Designer, you will be responsible for creating landscape designs that meet our customer’s vision, needs, and budget, while also managing the sales process from start to finish. You will work with potential customers to understand their goals, design proposals, create estimates, obtain permits, and finalize sales agreements. You will be expected to provide excellent customer service and follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction.


Specific Responsibilities

Attend all assigned design consultations and work with potential customers to understand their vision and goals for the project
Inspect the site, review customer ideas and design alternatives, discuss budget considerations, and define design objectives
Develop proposed designs using AutoCAD, Sketch Up, Adobe Photoshop, and Lumion to create marketable designs and scale drawings
Create price estimates for potential customers through QuickBooks and review design and cost estimates with customers

Modify plans as appropriate to meet customer desires and finalize sales agreements
Assist customer with Homeowner’s Association approval
Work with city/county permit offices to approve design plans for installation
Meet with Project Managers to review designs on projects for installation
Visit sites to review installation progress or assist in laying out if necessary
Make follow-up contacts with customers to ensure satisfaction
Maintain reference files, assist other designers with problems as requested
Work with customers to complete the Customer Agreement by having the customer sign the agreement and collecting the deposit/payment


Technology Requirements

The following programs and software are mandatory for Designers to understand and be able to work with.

Adobe Photoshop
Lumion (not required, but helpful)


Education Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture

Salary: $80,000-$120,000 subject to experience and qualifications
