Focal point and transformations
The client's primary goals were to create a thoughtfully designed landscape that complemented the recent exterior renovations to their home. They desired an elegant and statement-worthy landscape that not only enhanced the overall aesthetics of their property but also incorporated high-quality plant materials for a lush and vibrant environment. Additionally, they needed to address persistent drainage issues in their yard, particularly in the front, to ensure long-term functionality and prevent future water-related problems.

BEFORE: This photo highlights the starting point for designing a new garden. The front of the home and walkway lacked definition, requiring enhancements to create a stronger focal point.
AFTER: This design enhances the front walkway by re-laying the brick, adding a border, and incorporating high-quality plants to create an inviting and visually engaging space.
AFTER: Once all hardscape and landscape was complete, we now have a beautiful, intentional front yard that is also functional.
BEFORE: This is the front entrance of the residence prior to the redesign, which had a deficient overall appearance and quality.
AFTER: For the front entrance, we laid new sod, relocated plants that didn’t suit the space, and redefined the beds with striking statement plants. This resulted in a cleaner and more welcoming first impression for the entire property.
BEFORE: The side walkway was another area that needed attention. We discussed different options for a walkway and plant material to make the space more full.
AFTER: We used blue stone step treads along with a complete planting plan to fill the space and make it feel more "alive.” The design was created with taking into account what plants would do best here, the use of native plants, and the aesthetics of this space.
