Have you met…Paul Bennett

Paul Bennett | Total Tree Service

My first job in the green industry was...fresh out of college, I took a desk job for a document company and quickly realized that I didn’t like being inside all day watching the clock move slowly. So I decided to start doing property maintenance for friends and family.

My biggest challenge in my career has been…finding skilled reliable help on a consistent basis.

My biggest career success so far has been…..being able to operate several successful businesses with one of my best friends from high school for over 15 years.

If I had it to do over again, I would…..move to Hawaii and be a big-wave photographer.

The thing I like most about my career is….. being an owner/operator, working outside daily getting sun and exercise. The work tends to move quickly and there is gratification that comes with a successful completed project.

My least favorite part of my job is…..having a weather-dependent job.

One piece of advice I would give to someone entering the green industry today is…..under-promise and over-deliver. The one thing most responsible for my success is…having a supportive wife and home to come home to every evening.

If I could change careers, just for a month, I would…brew beer.

When I’m not working, I like to…go hiking with my wife, take photos of big waves, work on my own property, and be a part of the Norcross community.

One thing most people don't know about me is…

I secretly love hard work.
