It’s April 1, and spring 2026 has officially arrived! Over the fall and winter months, a variety of educational programs were offered to help professionals sharpen their expertise. In January, Landscape Pro University Atlanta welcomed more than 550 contractors, who participated in packed classrooms and a vibrant tradeshow. This event was made possible thanks to the support of sponsors, exhibitors, and our co-partner, SiteOne Landscape Supply.

Workforce development remains one of UAC’s foundational pillars. To support this goal, highly successful student and industry networking dinners were held at Gwinnett Tech and Chattahoochee Tech, fostering connections between students and professionals in the field.  We are scheduling a fall event at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (ABAC) in Tifton – hope to see many of our UAC members from central and south Georgia there!

Throughout February and March, UAC delivered its Spring Webinar series. These sessions covered a range of topics, including Spring Turfgrass Outlook, insect and weed pest dynamics, pruning techniques, and sustainable landscape design. The webinars provided a popular live-virtual format, allowing participants to earn Georgia pesticide credits while gaining valuable knowledge.

2026 Georgia Landscape Award Banquet

On March 23, the 2026 Georgia Landscape Award Banquet was held, marking a significant occasion for the industry and serving as the official kickoff to the spring season. The event celebrated outstanding achievements in landscape design and service, honoring professionals and companies for their dedication and excellence.

Twenty-one awards were presented across Bronze, Silver, and Gold categories, recognizing exceptional landscape projects. In addition, four Judges’ Choice awards were granted to the following recipients:

• Arcoiris Design Gardening
• Atlanta Fine Gardens (received two awards)
• Golden Sea Outdoors

Beautyberry Gardens was recognized as UAC’s Newcomer of the Year, highlighting their impressive entry into the industry.

Tom Baumann of Atlanta Fine Gardens received the MVP Employee Award in recognition of his exceptional dedication and achievements.

Outdoor Living Supply, nominated by ServeScape, was honored as Supplier of the Year for their exceptional service and support.

The GALA Banquet once again proved to be a spring highlight for landscape professionals, providing an inspiring start to the season. Special thanks to the 2026 judges, all participating companies who submitted their projects, and WSB’s Ashley Frasca, who returned as the emcee to guide the evening’s festivities.
